Vietnam School Tour

Today you will first visit Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes: the Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, the old residence of Ho Chi Minh, and One Pillar Pagoda. Then continue to Temple of Litrature (also known as Vietnam’s first university). The tour is followed by a visit to Hoa Lo Prison (also known as the Hanoi Hilton) and then visit a local university to learn about the education system in this country, meet new friends, and find out what the local students study and share your own learning experiences. Afterward take an in-depth walking tour to witness the local life in Hanoi Old Quarter before some free time for your own exploration.

After breakfast you will take a 5 hour drive toward Sapa, which is located at an elevation of about 1,500 meters amongst spectacular rolling mountains and hills. Sa Pa is a popular trekking base, which overlooks the terraced rice fields and where the hill tribe people dwell in cottages. Upon arrival, you will check in the hotel for refreshments then trek on the nice trail that gradually descends to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages. During your trek you will come across Black Hmong, Red Dzao and Dzay people. Pay short visits to some local schools and local families to learn about their lives. Afterward return to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours.

You will take a 4 hour drive on a countryside road through the paddy fields to Ha Long Bay, one of New Seven Natural Wonders. Upon arrival at the harbor, you will board a traditional boat – set sail through the limestone islands – have a nice seafood lunch – take a sampan ride to visit a traditional fishing village – attend a short cooking class - settle down on the upper deck for some drinks whilst watching the sunset – enjoy a delicious dinner. The rest of the day is your leisure. Why not play cards, try your luck at fishing, watch movies or simply enjoy some drinks and chat with your friends at the bar on board.

The ancient capital of Hue is well known for its historic monuments, which have earned it a place in UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. So after breakfast you will take a tour of this historical city. During your tour you will first visit Cau Ngoi Village - countryside market - Hue Old Citadel - Lunch - Thien Mu Pagoda - the Minh Mang Tomb. Afterward return to the hotel for refreshments before your dinner in a local restaurant. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

After breakfast you will drive along the coast road until you reach the picturesque spot of Hai Van pass (Cloudy Pass) with its views of the City of Da Nang. Whilst passing through the city, we stop off at the Cham Sculpture Museum before paying a visit to Non Nuoc Beach and Marble Mountain. Then proceed to Hoi An, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Upon arrival, check in the hotel for your refreshments. Then you will take a walking tour, which takes you to the most interesting sites including the Japanese Covered Bridge, Chinese Assembly Halls, Tan Ky Ancient House, and The vibrant market. The rest of the day is at leisure

Today you will take a short drive to Cam Thanh Coconut Village, where you get a feel for what the village life is like. Upon arrival, board your Bamboo Basket Boat - float along the river to the Water Coconut Forest - try your luck at catching fish, crabs and shrimps- continue to Tra Que Herb Garden - try your hand at hoeing, finding uses for seaweed, transplanting and watering vegetables - learn about what it’s truly like to live in a Vietnamese village - join the villagers in a cooking class to prepare for lunch in a traditional way, which is always the highlight of this trip – oh and you get to eat what you have prepared! Afterwards return to the hotel - dinner in an authentic restaurant in Hoi An ancient town. The rest of the day is yours

After breakfast you will take an in-depth tour of the most interesting sites in Sai Gon City. Today’s experiences include: Cu Chi Tunnels – Lunch - return to Saigon for an in-depth tour of The War Remnant Museum – Reunification Hall – Notre Dame Cathedral and The Central Post office nearby – Ben Thanh Market. Afterwards return to the hotel before your dinner. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Today you will take a 3 hour drive to Ben Tre. Upon arrival, you will: visit a brick factory – board a traditional style boat for a scenic cruise along the Mekong River – make some stops at local houses along the way – hope on bikes for a leisurely ride through the countryside – lunch in a traditional Mekong village restaurant - board a motorboat to explore more of the Mekong Delta. Afterwards return to the car for your transfer to Cai Be. Dinner in the hotel. The rest of the day is yours!

You are up early for an early boat ride - visit the Cai Be floating market – visit the traditional cottage industry - stop off at Vinh Long - return to Sai Gon with a lunch stop on the way. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
