Sukhothai is a small city located approximately 450 kilometer due north of Bangkok, with the city name meaning "Dawn of Happiness". Sukhothai was the capital city of Siam, the predecessors of Thailand, where all the foundations for politics, the alphabet and religion of the country were laid.

The city has many wonders to see, with the main attraction being Sukhothai Historical Park, which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but for the people that have more time in this area, there are many more temples and monuments that are gorgeous and superb.
