As one of Northern Vietnam’s most celebrated limestone caves, it holds a special place in local lore. The name "Nguom Ngao" translates to "Tiger Cave" in the Tay language, a nod to the fierce predators that once roamed its depths, preying on livestock—and occasionally humans.
