Sung La is likened to an “oasis” on the Dong Van stone plateau. Sung La valley is surrounded by majestic, undulating cat-ear stone mountains. From Pho Bang intersection, Sung La is as beautiful as a painting, looking strangely peaceful. Each season has its own food, Sung La seems to be dyed by the colours of plants grown by the local people around the area; sometimes it is the green of corn, sometimes the yellow of canola flowers, and even a few roses…. This season, Sung La valley becomes bright with the colour of buckwheat flowers. The pink buckwheat flower fields are in full bloom, the light pink color covers the valley, spreading from the mountain slopes to the foot of the hills, covering the winding mountain passes, showing off their colours everywhere... That gentle pink colour seems to soften the majestic mountain ranges, creating a more romantic and peaceful space around.
