The event will have the participation of hundreds of athletes, delegates who are members of the Bicycle Club and those who love cycling. According to the schedule, on 29 June, a parade will be held with the theme "Cycling for Peace" following the route: Hien LuongBridge- Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery - Fidel Park; along with many other meaningful activities. On 30 June, organizing bicycle race around Quang Tri Citadel with the theme Peaceful Destination attracts the participation of 300 athletes.
Art program opens the Festival for Peace
The opening ceremony is held from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on July 6 at the special National Monument Hien Luong - Ben Hai under the theme "Connecting bridges". Guests of the program include many domestic and foreign delegates and a large number of people. The event will have speeches from Party and State leaders; leaders of Quang Tri province and the Peace Message of the General Director of the UNESCO Cultural and Scientific Fund. The program will have special art program and fireworks display.
This is the first time, there is a music stage combining multiple spaces on the shore, on the river and in the air connecting the North-South axis of Hien Luong Bridge . The art program has 3 chapters, including: chapter 1 "Prayer", evoking the concept of peace and the value of love. Chapter 2 "The Sound of Connection", highlights Vietnam as a peace-loving nation, linking Hien Luong Bridge used to be the pain of separation into a symbol of the desire for unity, peace and national harmony. Chapter 3 "Song of Joy", conveys the message of joining hands to create peace, bringing the desire for a world of harmony and great embrace.
Cultural and culinary festival "Taste of the sunny flower region"
The program is organized from 12 to 14 July at Cua Viet Beach Tourist Area (GioLinh district). There will be 100 booths introducing typical dishes and drinks of the regions; Culinary demonstration; International kite exchange on the beach; and other experiential activities.
Music exchange "Melodies of Peace"
Trinh Cong Son's music night "Song of Peace", 8:00 p.m. on 13 July at Fidel Park (Dong Ha City). International music exchange program "Melodies of Peace", 8:00 p.m. on 20 July at the Cinema Cultural Center of Quang Tri province.
Program "Wish for Peace"
The program will take place at 8:00 p.m. on 26 July including a visit to the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel; Lantern releasing ceremony on the south bank of Thach Han River and Great Requiem Ceremony at GiaiPhong Square (Quang Tri Town).
