Van Long Lagoon
Van Long Lagoon, located in Gia Vien District, Ninh Binh Province, is the largest wetland in Vietnam's Northern Delta. Covering over 3,500 hectares, it features a unique ecosystem of swamps, limestone mountains, and wetland forests. The area is not only known for its unspoiled natural beauty but also for being home to many rare species. Most notably, it shelters the endangered Delacour’s langur, one of the rarest primates in the world. Van Long is currently recognized as having the largest population of this species in Vietnam.
