Oc Len Xao Dua (Mud Creepers Stir-fried with Coconut Milk)
Oc Len Xao Dua is a signature southern dish using small spiral snails cooked in rich coconut milk. This rustic dish is fun to eat and bursting with creamy, spicy flavor.
The snails are first cleaned thoroughly and then stir-fried with lemongrass, garlic, and chili before simmering in coconut milk. Locals love enjoying this dish with beer or rice wine.
Each snail carries the sweet, creamy essence of coconut infused with herbs and chili. The sauce is often so tasty that diners dip bread into it afterward.
Eaten by sucking the snail out of its shell, it’s both a social and sensory experience. Usually served in small clay pots in local eateries.
