Tour itinerary

Day 1: Ha Noi - Transfer By Road To Sa Pa – Lao Chai & Ta Van Villages (Lunch)

Today you will take a 5 hour drive toward Sapa, including some short breaks for coffee or toilets. Upon arrival - check in the hotel for refreshments – lunch in an authentic restaurant – transfer to Muong Hoa Valley – hike along a scenic trail to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages. During your hike you will come across Black Hmong, Red Dzao and Dzay people - pay short visits to local schools and local families – board your transfer and return to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours.

Day 2: Ma Tra & Ta Phin Villages (Lunch)

Breakfast – transfer by car to Ma Tra village – leave your car and take a hike along the trail with a scenic view over the artichoke, vegetable & rice terraces – during your walk, you can stop off at local schools and hill tribe families – Lunch at a simple roadside restaurant – proceed to Ta Phin village – spend your time at the village – board your transfer and return to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours.

Day 3: Fanxipang Mountain By Cable Car – Hike To Ham Rong Moutain (N/A)

After breakfast – transfer by car to the cable car station for a short cable ride and then take a walk to the top of the Fanxipang Mountain for a breathtaking view of the whole area – return to the car and transfer to Sapa town – time for a break and drinks or food (at your own expenses) - hike up to the top of Ham Rong mountain – spend your time at the top, where you will be overwhelmed by the panoramic view – return to the hotel for refreshments – the rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 4: Sapa – Transfer By Road To Dien Bien (N/A)

Breakfast – take a scenic drive along the winding road amongst the lush mountains and hills towards Dien Bien – along the way, make stops at some spectacular sites and pay short visits to the hill tribe villages and markets for an overview of local life and photographic opportunities – onward travel to Dien Bien – check in the hotel for refreshments – the rest of the day is at your leisure. You may like to wander around the streets and markets for your own exploration.

Day 5: Tour Of Dien Bien Phu – Transfer To Laos Via Sop Hun/Tay Trang (N/A)

After breakfast, you will take an in-depth tour of the historical town of Dien Bien Phu. Today’s experiences include: Dien Bien Phu War Museum – A1 Hill – Dien Bien Phu Cemetery – Muong Thanh Airfield – Bunker of Colonel de Castries – French War Memorial – Muong Thanh Bridge – Victory Monument – time for a rest and drinks or food (at your own expenses) – transfer to Sop Hun/ Tay Trang border gate – clear customs – onward travel into Laos
