We just return from inspection trip to Hue and Hoian by car with some update information for coming traveller.
The road condition from Hanoi to Hoian now is good which we can estimate our travel time about 60km per hour to travel. Major sightseeing start from Quang Binh with Phong Nha cave, Son Doong and Hang En... with the beach relax in the area too.
Getting to Hue not only visit Citadels, Mausoleum temples but you can visit old village where they make printed paintings, papers flowers you can learn how to make them as well. Further more you can watch Vietnam Martial Art show, Royal show in Citadel and visit Phuoc Tich ancient village

Travel to Danang over Haivan pass or via longest tunnel 1.7 metter to short cut the time to Da Nang beach and relaxing city where you can choose very good hotels, resort along the beach like Fusion Maia resort, Park Hyatt toward Hoian is The Nam Hai resort, Boutique Resort, Palm Garden, Hotel Royal Hoian - M Galerry (We experience this luxury hotel in city central). Attention the beach from Cua Dai to south now the sea washing out most of the beach here which you can not swim
