Luang Prabang Overview
Luang Prabang is both the name of the province and capital in the center of Northern Laos, which is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for housing many magnificent cultural, historical and architectural sites combined with its congenial relationship between the nature, and man made surroundings. Luang Prabang used to be the capital of the kingdom Lane Xang before they moved the capital to Vientiane, however it remained a religious and spiritual center.
The city provides several unique historical and religious insights of the region and on top of that there are multiple activities available both during the night and day, such as markets, viewing of architecture, museums, shopping for traditional goods and eating some local food. Luang Prabang is famous for its unique textiles and mulberry paper.
