Bun Ken (Fish & Coconut Milk Noodle Soup)

Bun Ken is a lesser-known gem from the Cham communities in An Giang. This noodle soup blends crispy fried fish, turmeric, and rich coconut milk. It’s aromatic, colorful, and absolutely unique.

The dish uses fine rice noodles topped with minced fried fish, soaked in a curry-like broth made from coconut milk, lemongrass, and turmeric.

Spicy, creamy, and fragrant, Bun Ken hits you with layers of flavor in every bite. It’s garnished with papaya salad, herbs, and chili flakes.

Often served at Cham markets or food stalls. Locals love to pair it with iced tea or sugarcane juice on hot days.
