Cat Ba Island Overview
Cat Ba Island is the largest island in the vicinity of Ha Long Bay, located in the Northeast of Vietnam. Half of the island is a National Park due to its biodiversity while the current tourism industry is growing makes way for many new hotels. The island has a similar rugged landscape to what you can witness in the rest of Ha Long Bay and is said to have been inhabited around 4,500 years ago by the people from the Ha Long Culture who were mainly making their living as fishermen.
