Mu Cang Chai is part of the Yen Bai province in Northern Vietnam some 300 kilometers away from Hanoi. One of the best regions to witness the majestic rice terraces that are all perfectly in sync with the mountains on which they are created.

Combined with the many ethnic groups that inhabit the area, Mu Cang Chai is a perfect place to behold the harmony of mankind and nature. If you visit when the rice is harvested around September and October, both the weather and the scenery is picturesque and well worth the early wake up.
