Vinh long is the capital city in the province of the same name within the Mekong Delta in Southern Vietnam between the Tien and the Hau rivers. The majority of the population make their living by farming, planting fruits and raising cattle.

Within this region outdoor activities are plenty, walk around the fruit gardens and taste the fresh local fruits which you can pick out yourself, take a bicycle for scenic routes throughout the forested areas, ride the boat through the small canals surrounded by lush plantation or lie in a hammock to relax like the locals do.

Many pagodas and communal houses such as Van Thanh Temple or Long Thanh Communal House offer insights of the local culture and the Sau Giao Flower Garden, which is a popular place in this area, is perfect for a nice leisurely walk.
